Mademoiselle Broqué

July 12, 2018

'Sup followers! Hope you have been enjoying the heatwave as much as I've been. With weather like this it's hard not to be happy, right? I'm currently preparing to start my brand new job as a stock keeper/beauty advisor for one of my fave makeup brands in London and am so excited to live my best *fuckboy free* summer in the big city.

As I'm living the broqué lifestyle, I am always on the lookout for a juicy bargain. So when I found this pastel playsuit in the kids' section at Primark for a measly £2 I had to snap it up. I did have my doubts about the sizing - I'm wearing an age 14-15 - but it fits perfectly!

The floral print is what attracted me to it most of all, but it has some great details such as the little tie-waist bow and leg frills. Not gonna lie though, I am still a little apprehensive about stepping out onto the street and seeing a 7 year old in the same outfit as me...

One of my fave things in the world is getting the time to have fun with my makeup. I spend so many mornings rushing my look because I have to get to work on time, that on my days off it's nice to be able to experiment and have some fun with it. I decided to match my outfit and stick to pink and blue, adding a pink Nyx Brights liner to my cut crease and sprinkled some glitter underneath my eye.

I used the pink and white colours in my Unicorn's Heart highlighter from Makeup Revolution on my nose and cheekbones to make them stand out. Then I used the blue shade as an eyeshadow. On my lips I'm wearing an iridescent sheer gloss from INC.redible called Anything Flaming Goes.

Would you let me step on you?

These shoes are everything to me. I hardly ever get the chance to wear them and I felt like they would really compliment this look. They are the exact same colour as my beret and make me feel like the tallest being in the world.

Shade-zilla coming at ya!

Andddd I bought my first beret. I am not a hat person in the slightest, so this is a very, very big deal. It's a cute pink felt number and I've already gotten makeup all over it but it was also a cheap find from New Look at only £4. I've decided I want one in every colour, it's cute af and it's also a great way to stop my hair from going full frizz.

I hope this outfit inspires you to go bargain hunting in some places you never would have thought to look. I'm definitely gonna keep my eyes peeled next time I walk past any children's section...might even dabble in some men's clothing too. And why not? It's never about what you wear, but how you wear it (with confidence!)
