I took a little break from blogging last week because I was pretty exhausted and needed to recuperate. But now I'm back and I'm clad in my all-time favourite colour!

I know, like 90% of my wardrobe is pink so naturally you'd assume that would be my preference. But purple is my absolute fave. I decided to express that not only with my clothes but with a fresh new hair colour - a black/purple/pink ombre. There are also tiny specks of fuschia tinsel extensions mixed in too which creates a glitter effect when I move. What are your thoughts?

I wanted to incorporate my new hair colours into my makeup to match this outfit. I use Nyx's butter gloss almost every day as it gives long-lasting coverage and doesn't feel slimy on my lips. I own it in quite a few shades but for this purple themed look I chose to wear it in Raspberry Tart.

I chose to wear a vintage corset a la Violet Chachki, one of my favourite drag queens when it comes to serving looks. I didn't lace it up quite as tightly as she would, though! I still wanted to be able to breathe comfortably. I teamed it with a cute denim mini skirt with tiny purple studs.

I have been trying to improve my makeup skills slowly but surely. Today I applied a couple of purple eye shadows and did my eyeliner as usual, but added a line of baby pink on top. I also used a shimmery purple eye crayon underneath my eyes which added more definition to my already highlighted cheekbones. 

I've also got on a pair of metallic purple stockings, because the more purple, the better. I thought a simple black heeled shoe would work well with them as I didn't want to wear something on my feet which would be too distracting.

This outfit was a lot of fun to style. I see dressing up as a chance to express myself visually, but it can also be a great way to escape too, if you really let your imagination run wild. Speaking of imagination, I was also meant to be wearing huge purple earrings and a choker but I goofed and forgot to put them on. So just imagine I'm wearing those for now! I'll have to accessorise with them in another blog post...
